Boys and girls, school is in session!

Extra caution while driving please

There are approximately 380 more school children attending schools in Corbett this year due to increases from in-district enrollment and the new Corbett Charter School. For those of you following along at home, Superintendent Bob Dunton has created a blog. You can find that link here as well as community discussions taking place on the Corbett Forum regarding Corbett schools.

The first school board meeting of the school year will be Wednesday September 16th at 7:30 PM in the Grade School Library. For more information check out the school's web site.

Corbett's YouTube Cattle Drive Début

Rocky ( Joe ) Graziano, our local community resource officer with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, dutifully keeps his crime log up to date monthly. The last few months the report 'runneth over' as the summer months tend to do. This past month he also included some great photos. One of the photos originated from a call regarding a rogue herd of cows that eventually found its way as a video onto YouTube. If you are interested in these local crime reports you can select here to find Rocky's board on our forum. If you are interested in the YouTube video, select the above image!

Are there any carpools to the nearest bus or train station? I am asking on behalf of a possible housemate who does not have a vehicle. Any reply about transportation in Corbett would be much appreciated!
