Thank you Phil and Judy for near 33 years!
Big Bear's Market, an end to an era

Phil and Judy DuFresne sold Big Bear's Market and the new owner, Balwant Bhullar, took over as of October 31, 2009. The community will miss seeing Big Bear and wife Judy in the store ... but we wish them every happiness in retirement and thank them for all the memories. We also welcome Mr. Bhullar and his family to the store and as Big Bear's Market moves from one family to the next: " Bhullar says he has no illusions about stepping into DuFresne’s rather large shoes. “Nobody can take anybody else’s place,” he says. “But you can always make your own place in there.” " – Gresham Outlook. News from Deputy Joe Graziano
"Rocky's Corner"

Don Gomez - Sadly, one of our search and rescue volunteers, Don Gomez, died during a training exercise.  Further information about the incident can be viewed here. Don was a tremendous asset to our agency and he volunteered a lot of his time to helping with all of the search and rescue operations that you see listed each month.

Crime Logs - I’ve included the crime log for October as well 1-year’s worth of crime logs sorted by incident and another one sorted by location.  I’m not as handy with compiling charts and stats as I thought I’d be, so for now one of our clerical personnel will be helping me with some charts or stats help us analyze average vehicle break-in days/times. The decommissioned cop car that's for sale on the Historic Highway is fantastic! It looks just like a speed trap, and the blue stripes slow everybody down, especially at night. I've started to get used to it, but I'm sure it scares the bejeesus out of the weekend speedsters off for a country drive. Thanks for parking it there!
