July 4 - Corbett Parade and Fun Festival

Pancake Breakfast News!

Multnomah County has made the announcement ( below ) that they will be closing roads around Corbett earlier than expected on July 4th and the Stark Street Bridge by 10 AM. Because of this - the Annual Pancake Breakfast held at the Job Corps, will be cut short a bit - please come early to support the funds for the Corbett High School Scholarships that the Columbia River Gorge Kiwanis help raise. You may also stop by and make a monetary donation. Thank you!

Corbett Fun Fest

Corbett Road Closures

From the County Statement: " In Corbett several roads will be closed from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm for the Fourth of July Fun Festival Parade.  Closures will take place on the Historic Columbia River Highway between SE Woodard Road and NE Benfield Road and on SE Woodard Road between NE Nielson Road and the Historic Columbia River Highway.  SE Hurlburt Road will be the detour route. "

* From speaking to the county directly this afternoon: I was told that the roads will be more flexible after the parade. ( Local traffic can use the highway to go back and forth to the Fun Festival and people should be able to go back out via the Sandy River Bridge.) I was asked to pass along any problems that people might run into - so that they can possibly word their statement of road closures a bit better for next year. If you have comments or you know someone that does - please submit those to the web site and I will forward those along. Thanks!
